GLS did some work on our cottage, including renovating a staircase, fitting skirting boards and door frames, hanging doors and installing a built-in wardrobe. This work was quite complicated due to the age and “character” of the cottage (no straight lines!), plus working in a busy family home. They did an absolutely fantastic job. I previously worked as a cabinet maker/kitchen fitter so have a keen eye for detail (some could say as far as OCD) however I pride myself on installing something that is both functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. Chipped and cracked the bath in a rental flat, whilst fitting bath taps badly. The Cold tap is not fitted properly & is loose. The tap now catches on a tile. Brand new Vanity Basin door has been damaged, need to get a replacement door. He cut the cold water supply to the shower, took hours to fix this, & I had to buy the parts!! 4/5 hours work, during the day, became 11, working until 11:30 at night. We now need to buy a new bath now & get it fitted.

The previous review was done under duress with Billy standing over me. The truth is, he disappears for considerable lengths of time (days), leaves equipment behind so you can't hire anyone else, switches his phone off so you can't contact him during this time and has the attitude of a bully. He removed our toilet to fix a blocked pipe but then left it so it wasn't fixed back to the floor properly and moved around, when we were in the process of selling our flat, with surveyors coming round. Not recommended.
