Nathan installed a consumer unit, socket outlets, linear luminaire and light switches in the garage and connected the LV supply cable to the house utility supply. Andrew is a nice guy and does quality work, but for kitchen tiling I am afraid to say is very slow; approx 4 tiles per hour (100x200mm) or 0.8 sq m a day (10 hours). I personally (a diy'er) can do 15 tiles an hour - i.e. 4 times faster. £250 at day is expensive. (My electrician is £175 a day) I ended up capping the job at £600 and decided to complete tiling and grouting myself after 3 days. I would not have hired Andrew if I knew he was this slow and as a result expensive.

Not often a tradesperson is happy to visit without cost to do an assessment of works required upfront and then give s reasonable quote and also explain possible options. Needed a new consumer unit (fuse box to us laypeople) to replace my ancient one and do an EICR. Based on the quote for the work I also added a hard wired for alarm and some smaller jobs as well. Very polite, cleaned up after the works as well. I have already recommended him to a number of friends.
