I've nothing against this professional - He tried to fix the problem, but it was a difficult job and beyond his capabilities - As it also was for a subsequent engineer! Therefore, I advertised for an extremely skilled engineer who took on the challenge and after many hours and a few renewed parts got it working.

GLS did some work on our cottage, including renovating a staircase, fitting skirting boards and door frames, hanging doors and installing a built-in wardrobe. This work was quite complicated due to the age and “character” of the cottage (no straight lines!), plus working in a busy family home. They did an absolutely fantastic job. We deal with insurance claims handling, reinstatement and repairs to any type of reinstatement including damage caused by escape of water, flood and fire damaged properties. We also completed works involving: Non-evasive leak detection. Insurance surveying / Schedules. Damp mapping and drying. Refurbishment and repairs to residential commercial buildings. Replacement kitchens and bathrooms. Plumbing. Plastering. Roofing. Painting and decorating. Asbestos surveys and removal. Carpentry. Spent about 2hours to do the job. Checking gas supply first before cutting pipe,adding a section of pipe and gas key. Then removed old gas cooker outside and connected new cooker and chain, then explained the controls. Make sure you get a new rubber cooker connector if required. No idea if expensive or not £150. Would recommend.

They had a new boiler ordered and picked up that night and came back first thing the next day to fix it. Honest, friendly and had my new boiler fitted within a few hours. They found solutions to tricky issues they found due to the build of my flat. They went above & beyond.
