They came to investigate the sound of running water. The leak simply couldn't be found without ripping up large parts of the house, which we all agreed should be done by a dedicated builder instead. However the investigation was as thorough as I could have expected, they didn't charge me the full call-out as they couldn't address the problem, and were good enough to write a report for my insurance company. This was a relatively small job, fixing a new fire, surround and mantlepiece. A new cowl and chimney pot was also fitted. The work was done on time, within budget, and we were impressed by the way the work was carried out, the attention to detail (including clearing up afterwards) and by the knowledge and expertise shown. We would use the same firm again, if required.
