I have been in the construction industry for over twenty years self employed and before that employed by others. James Butler also trades as CGS Landscapes. He paved my driveway with poor quality slabs in September 2024 blaming the manufacturer and not himself. More broken slabs has been replaced by him 3 times in 6 months. He has refused to respond to my calls. He texted back calling me. STUPID when I texted him to say I will report him to RatedPeople and the authorities. More slabs broke 2 days ago. Sent him the picture. He simply texted back: MOVED TO DEVON NO LONGER WORKING. Please don’t hire James Butler.

I just thought that I need to update our profile as not been updated for 6years. Me and my team have been working hard to build up a great reputation,over the last 6 years. I am happy to say, we have been inundated with works from our previous clients from rated people.Me and my teams aim to give our customers 100% satisfaction on works we do .45 reviews I believe we are at about 98%. Rubbish job. The preparation was not good. They were painting a white paint over a brown stain. So the prep needed to be good. Did a very small amount of filling. The minimum they could get away with . The quality of the job was poor. The white paint running into the black. This should have taken about 3 days to do the job properly, not 1 day. Quoted £950. Next person quoted £550 so was expecting a better job. I was wrong. I don’t normally write negative reviews about this job was so bad.

Pricing was extremely reasonable considering he travelled a distance to my location. Azhar was very meticulous with his finishing touches to the flooring and ensured it looked professional and stylish. He is definitely skilled. Nice tiles in bathroom but paid for a door and radiator to be fitted and these weren’t done. Got radiator on floor not attached! Had to get someone else to fit door. It took me three hours to clean up after his mess, no joke, bathroom was filthy. Asked him to come back to fill in gaps in tiling & fit other things which he said would do, and he did a few of these things. He changed bath plug because wasn’t fitted properly but instead of removing first plug, he left some of it in sink hole,

After speaking with several Builders, I decided to select them. They turned up smart professional listened and approach the job with professionalism. They were always open to listen and kept in touch with me daily, worked to my schedule and finished the job on time full house refurbishment outside roof walls, windows doors and patio in two weeks. I hired Tom trading as Plaster Master to repair bedroom ceiling and board the loft and install loft ladder and replace the loft hatch. He gave an honest estimate for the work and the time line needed to complete the project which he did on time. I won't hesitate to use his services again.He was extremely reliable and professional arrived at the time he said and he tidied up at the end of each day’s work. I thoroughly recommend him!
