James was hired to fit 5 internal doors. It took him 3 days, and the work was careless, lazy, and full of mistakes, excuses, lies and frustration. He blamed the doors, house, locks, anything but himself. I wasn't going to leave a review, but after he left I was able to fix —by myself— issues that he tried to gaslight me into believing it was the best possible outcome. I suspect his "27 years of experience" was made up, and the problem was nothing but absolute lack of skill, care and work ethic.

I have grown up on a construction site and have always had a good hand in lead ever since I was 4 years old. I had worked with my father doing plumbing and by the time I was 13 years old I was a part time partner in his company, I further went to college and qualified in level 2 NVQ Plumbing and had carried a full-term apprenticeship, creating a portfolio. Once finishing my qualifications I became a full time partner in my father’s general building company which entailed doing, extensions, refurbs, plumbing and heating, kitchen & bathroom refurbishments, new builds, roofing and lead work. We ran the company together for a further 8 years on top of his 45 years of quality construction. Southgate And Sharp LTD is a small family run metal work company based in Kent. All work is carried out by skilled staff with City&Guilds and holders of CSCS cards. From design to install we do the whole job. Fully insured. New projects and repairs.
Southgate and Sharp's quote was the best one among four received. It included optional powder coating as a bonus offer which we didn't count on in the start. Although our job was only small it was perfectly done and on time. Many thanks, I would use S&S LTD anytime for metal works in the future.

A good hard working reliable source for custom or bespoke fencing projects and all aspects of metal workings and installations. Also we build bespoke frames using mild steel; from railings to staging metal grills and also heavy duty oil drum to bbq converts, and the list goes on. We try hardest at all times to maintain a good work etiquette, and will always go above and beyond to meet customer needs. To add, we are also available for flat-pack assembly as this goes hand-in-hand with fabrication.
