The work was all carried out as agreed quickly and he worked long days to get it all done. The changes we made were added onto our bill at the end and were far lower than I had been expecting. John is a really nice guy, I'd love to rate his actual work but after chasing for quotes for a few weeks I should have realised. I've been constantly chasing for three months to get the work complete. No option but to return insurance cheque for payment for the work I can't get completed and go through the whole process again with someone reliable. Shame as i said he seemed a really nice guy!.
CHRIS TOMLIN This was not an easy task, hence the reason we wanted someone else to do it. IE cut 2 inches from a 1.5 inch think, 5 ft long 19th century slate mantelpiece. We were afraid of it shattering/splitting and all sorts. Chris did this and pieced together our beautiful reclaimed slate fire surround for a very very reasonable rate. 95% perfect but 100% if you don't use a magnifying glass. Would definitely recommend

We requested that the bathroom was taken out and the pump parts kept. Unfortunately the pump was ripped out badly so we cannot reuse it. The young apprentice also caused alot of damage / mess and did not clean up. The plasterer they used was really good. Did not turn up when they said they would. Also really hassled for money once job was done, even though we had some outstanding issues. Shame as we were looking for a reliable worker to help with another local renovation.
